Day 1

Yerevan - Zouar Hot Springs – Dadivank Monastery - Gandzasar Monastery

Northern route – full of mountainous treasures with rich history, colourful landscapes. Gandzasar monastery is full of miracles and situated closer to the sky, residence of catholicoses and Khachen princedoms. Dadivank is the hidden monastery behind hills and mountains. One more attraction which can make your wishes come true. After visiting monasteries, making wishes you will visit healing bathes in Zouar village. Hot springs will help you to relax after long trips. And in a deep evening you will come back in Yerevan to have dinner and prepare for the new day.

 

Day 2

Dizapait Hiking – Kataro Monastery

 

Dizapait mountains (2480 m) was declared a sacred since ancient times, and references to pilgrimages date back to the Arab period. Hiking to Dizapait Mt. takes 2.5 – 3 h. Beautiful landscapes will follow you on the whole way.  When the final point will be reached you will have a rest, have picnic near Kataro Monastery, where opens a panorama of Arax river valley and sink in the beauty which will surround you on the peak. It is the place of pilgrimages for the region.

At the top of the mountain, next to the monastery Katarovank, there is a huge stone, and it has power. According to legend, it is believed that if a superstitious woman takes a handful of ground from under the stone and finds seeds of wheat out of this ground, the woman will give birth to a boy, but if the barley seeds are found, then a girl will be born.

 

Day 3

Stepanakert City Tour, Visiting Museums

Stepanakert – the capital of self-recognized Artsakh Republic. On the site of the present day capital was the settlement Vararakan which is translated like “rapid spring”. You will have opportunity to make acquaintance with history of this area, visit museums, taste local dishes, see the old and new parts of the city and may be took part in different events.

Shoushi City Tour

Shoushi is the cultural capital of Artsakh, which have great history. The city has dark and bright pages. It has very interesting architectural style. Every building and construction has its own history. In Shoushi you can visit different types of museums, churches, Persian mosque. Shoushi is situated on the high point from which is opening perfect view on the capital city and the picturesque view of Hounot Canyon.
