Day 1
Yerevan City Tour
The tour will be started with the visit of History museum and city tour. Then you will move to Artsakh through the picturesque north road connecting Armenia and Artsakh. On you way you will pass Lake Sevan or “Geghama Sea” – one of the largest high-mountainous fresh water lakes in the world. Reaching Artsakh border you will need to stop at the check point for several formalities and then continue your tour.
Askeran Forrtress – Mayraberd, Tigranakert Historical – Cultural Reserve – Vankasar Chantry
On your way to Stepanakert you will have opportunity to visit Tigranakert reserve, to get information about its history which by its roots goes deep in the pre-Christian period, see the excavation areas, visit castle of 18th century which is working in our days as a museum where preserved all findings of excavation and visit Vankasar Chantry on the top of the hill, from that point you will enjoy all the picturesque views of the surroundings. In Askeran you will visit new renovated fortress of 18th century and at the entrance of Stepanakert city you will pass by monument “We are Our Mountains” (“Tatik & Papik”),
Day 2
Stepanakert City Tour, Visiting Museums
Stepanakert – the capital of self-recognized Artsakh Republic. On the site of the present day capital was the settlement Vararakan which is translated like “rapid spring”. You will have opportunity to make acquaintance with history of this area, visit museums, taste local dishes, see the old and new parts of the city and may be took part in different events.
Shoushi City Tour
Shoushi is the cultural capital of Artsakh, which have great history. The city has dark and bright pages. It has very interesting architectural style. Every building and construction has its own history. In Shoushi you can visit different types of museums, churches, Persian mosque. Shoushi is situated on the high point from which is opening perfect view on the capital city and the picturesque view of Hounot Canyon.
Day 3
Gandzasar Monastery – Dadivank Monastery – Zouar Hot Springs – Yerevan
Northern route – full of mountainous treasures with rich history, colourful landscapes. Gandzasar monastery is full of miracles and situated closer to the sky, residence of catholicos and Khachen princedoms. Dadivank is the hidden monastery behind hills and mountains. One more attraction which can make your wishes come true. After visiting monasteries, making wishes you will visit healing bathes in Zouar village. Hot springs will help you to relax after long trips. And in a deep evening you will come back in Yerevan to have dinner and prepare for the new day.
