Enthralling tour of Lori, where you can acquaint yourself with the unique cultural and natural landscape of the northern region of the modern Republic of Armenia.

The tour consists of two different routes. At their own will, the clients can choose a two-day tour or each of the routes separately.

Route 1

We set off on to our tour along the Yerevan - Stepanavan Route. The first point of our trip is Lori Berd (XI c. AD), a significant historical and cultural monument of northern Armenia. On the way to the next stop at Tormak, we have lunch in Stepanavan. Tormak (IV - V cc. AD) is an Early Christian church built on the foundation of a pagan temple. We also visit Kurtan, a colorful village with Christian buildings of IV-XX cc. AD scattered on the edge of the picturesque gorge of the Dzoraget River. A coffee break is planned here, at the gorge. The last, but not least point of our tour is the medieval monastery complex of Hnevank, located in the gorge not far from Kurtan village.

Route 2

We set off on to our tour along the Yerevan - Alaverdi Route. The first point of our trip is the picturesque village of Aghvi with the unique beauties of nature. Then we head for Odzun village, where the unique and majestic look of St. Hovhannes, the church (VI - VII cc. AD), will fascinate you. Then the mysterious monastery complex of Horomayr (VII- XIII cc. AD) appears in front of your eyes. Moreover, though you have to pass a small segment of path on foot, we assure you, that it will be very rewarding due to the mountain trails and a coffee break on the edge of the gorge. The last, but not least, point of our route is Ardvi village, famous for its Srbanes (St. Hovhannes) Church (tightly connected to Hovhan Odzunetsi) located in the northeast of the village.
